Friends of Sinners, a Christ-centered residential substance recovery program, is having two major fundraisers this weekend. It all kicks off tomorrow with $5 plate lunches at WBKR. We’re so excited!
Running a successful non-profit is rewarding, but it isn’t easy. Raising money is one of the biggest challenges. This is the case for Friends of Sinners. There are so many people hurting and in need of recovery in and around Owensboro. They take in clients from all over the tri-state and help them maintain a life of sobriety through the hope of Jesus Christ. This life-transforming work takes money. This is why these fundraisers are important. And, so are you!
FRIENDS OF SINNERS YARD PARTY
In advance of the annual Unchained event, there’s a Yard Party planned to kick off the celebration. Have lunch with us tomorrow on the front lawn, and learn more about their life-saving mission. They’ll be serving up $5 plate lunches, including ribs. Chris Young will be performing at The Dam on Friday, August 11th, 2023. We’ll have 100 Chris Young tickets available for a $10 donation (per ticket) to Friends of Sinners. Be sure to get there early before they’re gone! The party will be held right here at WBKR from 10:30 until 2:00 on Friday, August 11th, 2023. 100% of the money raised will go directly to Friends of Sinners.

2023 UNCHAINED WITH FRIENDS OF SINNERS
This Saturday at Chautauqua Park from 11 am until 4 pm will be their annual Unchained event. It’s FREE and open to the public. There will be tons of fun events for the kids, auctions galore, plenty of delicious food, a bike run, and an abundance of great Christian music. The clients with FOS will be on hand to give their testimonies. This is the 14th anniversary of Unchained in the Park.
