This relatively new property opened in the Hunab Lifestyle Center, Tulum’s stylish shopping and dining destination, in November 2022, marking Motto by Hilton’s first international hotel. Beyond all the nearby shopping—which includes access to some beautiful, locally handmade goods—the hotel is surrounded by ancient ruins, pristine beaches, nightlife, and famous cenotes. In fact, its location makes it strategically positioned 15 minutes to the Hotel Zone, Central Tulum, and the famed Tulum ruins by bike.
Motto by Hilton Tulum also gets excellent marks for its friendly service, which makes it feel like a five-star resort, and its tip-top views from the rooftop — one look at this dreamy spot and you’ll want to park it there all day until the mesmerizing sunset comes. For guests looking for an authentically local stay, Motto by Hilton Tulum has hosts onsite to specifically curate experiences for guests such as a premium mezcal tasting at Ancestral, a sustainable mobility E-scooter or E-bike, or even a jungle DJ class. The hotel has also partnered with the area’s two biggest beach clubs, Bagatelle and Vagalume, to provide guaranteed access and sunbed service for hotel guests.
The 115 guest accommodations are contemporary, with Mayan-influenced design cues, warm tiles and woods, rich stones, and a soothing neutral palette. Pro tip: Upgrade to a suite, many featuring ocean-facing balconies, living and dining areas, and spacious king bedrooms. The hotel is also a foodie’s paradise, featuring five distinct concepts ranging from a pasta restaurant to a restaurant serving home cooked-style Mexican goodness. There’s also a bar, café, a shared rooftop pool, and a fitness center overlooking a jungle tree canopy.
