Zalando has announced textile and apparel industry expert Pascal Brun as its new Vice-President of Sustainability and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I). He’s reporting into Padmaja Bommareddy, SVP Corporate Development and his appointment reflectors the firm bringing the teams working on its Sustainability and D&I strategies together under one strategic umbrella.
The company said this will help it “secure an even stronger and more holistic approach for achieving its company goals and commitments in areas that are pivotal for transforming both Zalando and the wider fashion industry”.
Brun joins from H&M where he spent 16 years working “across different continents and a variety of execution and strategic management, focusing on Sustainability and Supply Chain Management”.
He’s now responsible for driving the e-tailer’s “strong commitment to the areas of Sustainability and D&I and further integrating them into the strategic ambitions of the company”.
Bommareddy said he “shares our strong passion for creating a more equitable and sustainable world for future generations and enabling the fashion industry to drive positive change”.
