An angry ‘independent woman in San Diego’ bragged about avoiding bus fare for more than a week and went berserk at security as they spoke to her aboard a bus, a new video shows.
Video uploaded on Reddit caught the dramatic argument between a female passenger on the 235 bus from Escondido to San Diego and the transit security.
The woman was screaming at the workers who had called her out for not paying the bus fare.
She revealed to the two security guards, ‘I have done this for the past week and a half because I’ve explained to everyone twice a f***ing day that I can’t afford to pay my f***ing fare cause I’m an independent woman in San Diego so f*** you b***h.’
Bus fare for the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System is $2.50 for a one-way or $6 for a day pass.
The San Diego bus system offers reduced fares to senior citizens, Medicare recipients, people with disabilities and riders between the ages of six and 18.
In the video, the woman repeatedly said: ‘I’m just trying to f***ing get home from f***ing work.’
She told the security officers: ‘I’m not getting off the f***ing bus
‘You wanna fight this battle with me?’ she asked them. ‘I tried to be nice and look at this.’
‘I’m autistic – I’m smarter than you. I can manipulate you out of the situation.’
‘You could have just been nice. You could have just been nice at first but you wanted to be a d*ck,’ the unidentified rider told them.
‘I was minding my f***ing business,’ she said, adding ‘obviously you’re not a good person.’
‘Step away – I do not want you this close to me,’ she claims.
Other passengers on the bus refrained from getting involved in the drama and sat quietly minding their own business.
The video didn’t show any resolution or ending to the emotional outburst but after the video went viral on Reddit the person who took the video let his viewers know how the debacle ended.
According to the video poster, the incident ended with the ‘good cop’ telling her to catch the next bus and her getting off the ride.
Fare violations for San Diego Metropolitan Transit System can result in fines, court appearances or community service – according to its website.
