A DIGITAL nomad has surprised many after revealing how much space he has inside the ambulance he transformed into his home.
He bought the ambulance on Facebook marketplace for just $9,000 and it took him less than one year of DIY jobs to make it habitable.
Kaden (@kadentravels) has garnered over 269,000 followers on TikTok, where he shares his travels and experience of living inside a converted ambulance.
He enlisted help from a friend to film a tour of all of the impressive features that the van boasts.
He said: “I actually don’t pay rent because I live in an ambulance. Want to see it?
“This is Lance, my ambulance. All I have and all I will have.”
Kaden unlocked the door to enter and eight of his friends stepped out to demonstrate how spacious the ambulance was.
His friend then followed him inside as he revealed it cost around $17,000 to convert the ambulance.
He said: “We’ve got a queen bed and fridge so I can keep all of my fun snacks.
“A freezer for my Trader Joe’s peanut butter cups.
“We have a lot of solar, I can run an air fryer and I can run my microwave.”
Despite having a massive bed and empty flooring space, Kaden revealed there is an extra feature for sleeping.
He began to pull a stretchy material from one side of the van to the other to secure a hammock.
He said: “This is my favorite part.
“I can sleep three on the bed, one on the hammock, and one on the ground so five total.
“Which is more friends than I have.”
He then hopped outside to show the numerous storage compartments located towards the bottom of the ambulance.
He said: “In this compartment, I have climbing gear, high-lining gear, and this box of doodads that I forgot I had in there.
“I’ve got air conditioning that runs from the solar on top.”
Opening the huge trunk, he continued: “Here we have a microwave. I bet you guys haven’t seen a microwave in a van.
“Next we have all of my water storage. I carry about 20 gallons of fresh water but right now I only have 15 because I used five.”
Kaden amazed his friend as he opened a large side compartment to reveal that his ambulance was also fitted with an electric shower.
He said: “Last but not least we have the hot water heater and shower.”
The post went viral with over 13.8 million views, 1.8 million likes, and thousands of comments from people who were impressed.
One person wrote: “I mean that’s not a bad price for a decent home on wheels.”
Another commented: “Van life is one thing, but ambulance life would be top tier.”
A third said: “17k for vehicle and set up is great considering a lot of van life people spend 80k on a Mercedes alone lmao.”
A fourth added: “Nah the hammock is CRAZY. Would love to save up like three months’ worth and gather the homies for a trip across America.”
