Colombian luxury fashion brand Agua by Agua Bendita has launched a resale program called Ciclos, in partnership with Archive. The custom program features a curated offering of the brand’s heirloom pieces from its first collection.
The brand’s “timeless garments” are inspired by Latin America’s “enchanting biodiversity and culture,” the company said, adding that Ciclos is “a pledge to mother nature, the root of [its] inspiration.”
Archive said in a statement that the resale program serves as “a nod to the brand’s exceptional craftsmanship and enduring design” and added that the site will offer items from the brand’s “debut resort collection, Holiday 2019, composed of sought-after linen ensembles and delicate hand-illustrated motifs.”
Mariana Hinestroza and Catalina Álvarez, cofounders and creative directors of Agua by Agua Bendita, said they believe in designing pieces “that can be worn and loved for years because of their timeless style and excellent quality; through Ciclos, we offer Agua garments a renewed purpose, giving them a second life as an adored heirloom.”
Regarding their designs and brand ethos, Hinestroza and Álvarez, said they seek “to strike a balance between the past and the future. As a forward-looking brand, we recognize the importance of imbuing social and environmental responsibility into everything we do. Through Ciclos, we vow to give our garments a second life and honor our promise of environmental responsibility.”
Emily Gittins, chief executive officer and cofounder of Archive, said Agua by Agua Bendita “designs timeless, high-quality pieces that can be worn time and time again. We’re extremely proud to partner with the brand and to power Ciclos, giving shoppers an easy way to give their Agua by Agua Bendita pieces a second life and, ultimately, help create a more sustainable, circular fashion economy.”
Archive said in a statement that the Ciclos site will also feature “exquisite, embroidered pieces, such as the intricately hand-embroidered Durazno One Piece, a labor of love that took 72 hours to create by one of the brand’s artisans.”
In addition, the site will also feature exclusive items from the brand’s 2019 kids’ collaboration “with Maisonette, as well as a curated collection, ‘Heirlooms,’ where customers can discover one-of-a-kind carefully crafted and selected pieces that pay homage to Latin America’s enchanting biodiversity and culture.”
