Colombian luxury fashion brand Agua by Agua Bendita has launched a resale program called Ciclos, in partnership with Archive, the circularity platform for brands. The custom program features a curated offering of the brand’s heirloom pieces from its first collection.
Ciclos is “a pledge to mother nature, the root of [its] inspiration,” the company stated, citing Latin America’s “enchanting biodiversity and culture” as the inspiration for its “timeless garments.”
The resale programme, according to Archive, is “a nod to the brand’s exceptional craftsmanship and enduring design.” The statement also stated that products from the brand’s “debut resort collection, Holiday 2019, composed of sought-after linen ensembles and delicate hand-illustrated motifs” will be available on the website.
Mariana Hinestroza and Catalina Álvarez, cofounders and creative directors of Agua by Agua Bendita, said they believe in designing pieces “that can be worn and loved for years because of their timeless style and excellent quality; through Ciclos, we offer Agua garments a renewed purpose, giving them a second life as an adored heirloom.”
Emily Gittins, chief executive officer and cofounder of Archive, said Agua by Agua Bendita “We’re extremely proud to partner with the brand and to power Ciclos, giving shoppers an easy
way to give their Agua by Agua Bendita pieces a second life and, ultimately, help create a more sustainable, circular fashion economy.”
“Exquisite, embroidered pieces, such as the intricately hand-embroidered Durazno One Piece, a labour of love that took 72 hours to create by one of the brand’s artisans,” Archive said in a statement about the addition of these pieces to the Ciclos website.
The brand’s 2019 kids’ partnership with Maisonette will also be featured on the website, along with unique pieces from their carefully curated collection called “Heirlooms,” which pays homage to the captivating biodiversity and culture of Latin America.
