Apparel and accessories brand Virgio has launched a sustainable collection to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Made from 100 per cent recycled polyester, the collection is designed to mix conscious consumption with Gen Z focused fashion.
“At Virgio, we believe in fashion that transcends trends and embraces responsibility,” said the brand’s CEO and co-founder Amar Nagaram in a press release. “’The Date’ collection is not just about celebrating unfiltered love; it’s a celebration of conscious choices. By using recycled polyester, we hope to inspire the youth to make a shift towards sustainable fashion, proving that every small step can make a significant impact. This collection is raw, unfiltered, and irresistible—just like love.”
The collection is inspired by Moulin Rouge, the historic Paris nightclub and movie. With a classic colour palette of red and black, the womenswear line features lingerie-style shapes, reimagined as youthful party wear. The collection has gone live on Virgio’s DTC e-commerce store.
“We prioritise ethical practices by collaborating with Indian partners who share our values, ensuring fair labour practices and responsible sourcing,” announced the brand in a statement. “Virgio is not just about fashion; it’s a holistic embrace of transparency, ethics, and environmental mindfulness in every aspect of our creations.”
