Tech deal of the week
Amazon has slashed the price of its Schallen Black Portable Electric Slim Radiator in its sale, which has been very popular with shoppers during the cold month of January.
The portable heater currently costs just £19.99 down from £39.99, and customers have been raving about how ideal it is for heating offices and small spaces without relying on pricey central heating.
The sleek black heater has an adjustable thermostat for controlling the heat to your own personal preference. It comes equipped with six heating fins for distributing heat around the room as well as a safety cut-off feature for peace of mind. And because it’s filled with oil, it operates quietly, making it ideal for office, bedrooms and quiet spaces where you want some peace.
Integrated handles make it easy to carry, and it has wheels on the bottom for simple transportation from room to room. It doesn’t require any maintenance or refilling, and the durable construction means it’s built to last.
Shoppers have left plenty of glowing five-star reviews for the portable heater, with one writing: “Good heat output and fits under my work desk easily. With my heated mouse pad and heated foot pad I’m lovely and warm on those cold winter WFH days.”
Another penned: “Using right now under my desk at home – super toasty even on a middle setting. Love it!! Much easier and more cost effective than heating my whole house all day.”

One customer wrote in the reviews: “Really pleased with this purchase. Unbelievably easy to set up. Great images and easy to adjust via the app. Had to reduce the sensitivity due to repeated activations when people walked passed the front path. Works well with Alexa to notify me of activations and viewing footage on the app is simple albeit can take a little while to load.”
Another said: “This camera is really easy to set up and connect to the blink app. It has a really good day time picture but let’s itself down at night time. I’ve ordered the add-on floodlight attachment, which I’m hoping will allow a better quality picture when it’s activated in the dark. I’ll be interested to see if the batteries do actually last the 2yrs, as claimed.”
And a third said: “We’re very pleased with our security cameras, and we have added another two and the Blink door bell. The whole system works really well, and we are pleased we chose Blink, especially with it being part of Amazon.”
However, some people were less impressed with the camera quality with one customer writing: “Wanted a camera to monitor my front door and car. In daylight the picture quality is excellent, and I’m very happy with it. Unfortunately it’s not the same at night. You can see people quite clearly, however I can’t see my car as not enough light on the camera. The night vision is quite poor, so defeats the purpose of having a camera. Don’t think I would recommend this camera.”
