Filmmaker Anees Bazmee has launched his next directorial venture — an action-comedy film for Zee Studios, the makers announced Tuesday. The untitled film was produced by Zee Studios in collaboration with his Echelon Productions, press said in his release.
Bazmee, who is currently basking in the success of Kartik Aaryan star Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, said he hopes to continue entertaining audiences through his new film. “Following the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, we hope to bring even more entertainment to our viewers, this time with a larger-than-life action comedy.
“We are very pleased to be teaming up with Zee Studios, Vishal Rana and Rohini Vakil for this project. The film will be unlike anything Indian audiences have seen before. Important details of the feature-length film, including , have yet to be shared by the makers.
Zee Studios CBO Shariq Patel said the studio is excited to partner with Bazmee again. “We are delighted to be partnering with Annies. It is a concept that has immediate appeal and we are thrilled to bring this story to audiences. With a strong distribution network, we are confident that we will be successful,” added Patel.
Echelon Production’s producer Vishal Rana described the film as a high-paid theatrical entertainer.
“I’m glad they (Zee Studios) believed in our vision for this epic action-comedy. The film will be a big-ticket stage entertainer,” he added.
The film will be released in 2023.
