big soundAustralia’s premier live music showcase and industry conference event celebrated its revival after a two-year hiatus this year and is now celebrating its 21st anniversary, with more than $8 million spent on the celebration.
The resumption of in-person showcases and festival events has had a positive economic impact on artists, music industry workers, local businesses and tourism in Queensland.
This year’s edition generated more than $7.7 million in spending attributable to the Queensland economy, including $4.1 million spent across the Brisbane area by the 10,800 who attended or attended BIGSOUND from 6-9 September. did.

BIGSOUND has marked its comeback from Tuesday 5th September to Friday 8th September 2023.
The festival returns to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley Entertainment District. In its 21st year, his 2022 event included 210 speakers and buyers, 44 conference sessions, 24 industry events, 186 artists, 21 venues and 23 stages.
