JAMMU, August 26: On Women’s Equality Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) held a music concert “Nari Shakti” here today in partnership with Sangam Tru Art Production.
The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest and former Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar Shandel, and the guest of honor was Dr. Tara Singh Challak, former Deputy Director General of Police.
On this occasion, J&K’s Primitive Folklore, Arts and Culture program was held.
The songs performed were “Jago Jago Mere Desh Ki Betio, Beti Bachao Beti Padao”.
Chief Guest spoke about eliminating discrimination against women.
The show was taped and uploaded online to social media with the public in mind.
On this occasion, Sudesh Manhas was honored by Dr. ML Dogra, President of BLSKS.
There was a welcome address by Dr. ML Dogra.
Singers, musicians, actors and Music and Computer Institute students who participated in the musical play included KK Joshi, MC Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi and Sant Dass.
Deepak Kumar presented a letter of appreciation.
