Bruins general manager Don Sweeney met with reporters after the win to discuss the deal during the game.

Before the start of the 2022-23 season, Stadnica signed a two-year contract extension with the Bruins.
“He’s a great kid,” said Sweeney. “He works so hard and really cares. I am grateful for all the time I was able to spend with him here.”

Mailenburg was selected by the Canucks in the fifth round of the 2021 NHL Draft. The 19-year-old prospect has yet to sign an entry-level contract and is currently playing for Swedish hockey Allsvenskan he has played for league side Mora IK this season.
