Seventeen students from three batches of the Carnatic High School of Music received their diplomas here on Friday.
While speaking at the event, musician Sudha Raghnathan recalled his first ordeal at the Music Academy. She came to the competition as a student. I started playing in the 12 o’clock slot, moved to sub-senior and eventually senior slots and was lucky enough to win the ‘Sangita Kalanidi’ award in 2014,” she said.
Ragunathan said students need to dream big to achieve what they want. “You are about to embark on a journey that is demanding and demanding, but full of joy and happiness. Looking back, there are many challenges I had to face. Perseverance and a thirst to know more helped me learn lessons in life as well as music,” she added.
The president of the Academy of Music, N. Murali, said the school was established in 2010 with the main aim of developing talented musicians and performers. “Students of the Advanced School of Carnatic Music are now excellent performers in various forums. We have made progress,” he added.
