The Creative Arkansas Community Hub and Exchange (CACHE) announced this week the launch of the Music Organizations Advancement Coalition, a two-year grant program funded by the Walton Family Foundation.
detail: CACHE will donate a total of $1.2 million to eight local music-focused nonprofits, including:
- song house.
- city session.
- black frets.
- Music Education Initiative.
- NWA Jazz Society.
- Music moves Arkansas.
- Teen Action and Support Center.
- Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation.
Its meaning: According to a CACHE news release, the two organizations will begin working together this month on board and leadership development, financial sustainability, communications and storytelling, and enhanced diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
- The Coalition also hosts free events at venues throughout the region.
environment: CACHE is the art non-profit arm of the Northwest Arkansas Council and aims to serve as a central resource for a wide variety of artists.
