A small group of burning palm trees were quickly extinguished by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) after rushing to the scene. LAFD has asked the California Highway Patrol to close the lane.
LAFD tweeted that there was no danger at the venue and no injuries were recorded. The fire department claimed only the surrounding trees were on fire.
The 1,423rd emergency of the day, a fairly persistent fire near the Hollywood Bowl, was thankfully vegetation related and did not justify an @LAFD ALERT, according to LAFD’s post.
