The new iPhones launched last Friday, and now we have drop tests for the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
PhoneBuff’s video below tests the new iPhone 14 Pro and Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S22 Ultra, in a drop test.
The specs of the two handsets are similar, with the Galaxy S22 Ultra sporting a 6.8-inch curved-edge display and the iPhone 14 Pro sporting a 6.7-inch flat-edge display.
As you can see from the video, the glass on the back of both handsets broke on the first drop, with the iPhone doing even more damage, as well as the main camera.
The second drop damaged the corners of both handsets. This was expected and caused more damage to the back glass of the iPhone.
The third drop of the handset onto the surface resulted in screen damage on both devices and slightly worse on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
As you can see from the video, both the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the new iPhone 14 Pro Max scored exactly the same in the drop test, with both handsets showing similar damage.
