No major hero has achieved success in Bollywood this year. The only films that have achieved this feat are Kashmir Files and his Bhool Bhulayya 2 by karthik Aryan. The cast and crew of Liger, the film by Pri Jagan and Karan Johar starring Vijay Devarakonda, were under the impression that this was going to be their big break. But then everything fell apart.
Even Tollywood expected ‘Liger’, which Vijay Devarakonda said would undoubtedly be a huge success, would be Bollywood’s biggest hit of the year. It fell short of all public expectations as it was only slightly better than its release, Lal Singh Chadda.
Karan Johar will definitely have to rethink many of his tactics, given the film’s mixed reviews and seemingly normal attendance figures for Friday and Saturday. He now promotes ‘Brahmastra’, but that doesn’t make up for the loss of ‘Liger’. Moreover, despite the strong publicity of Brahmastra, Bollywood faced bigger problems as Ranbir’s latest film Shamshela failed to connect with audiences.Stay tuned for future updates
