Warner Music has announced leadership changes in both its recorded music and publishing businesses in the Benelux region.

Martin Jessurun has been President of Warner Music Benelux for over 18 years, while Arno Van Berkel has been Managing Director of Warner Chappell Music Benelux for over 14 years.
Two long-time WMG executives will be replaced by Niels Walboomers, who has been appointed President of Warner Music Group Records and Publishing, Benelux, effective November 1.
In this new role, WMG says Walboomers will oversee both Warner Music Benelux and Warner Chappell Music Benelux.
The esteemed executive joins WMG from Sony Music Publishing, where he has served as Managing Director at Benelux for the past 12 years.
Walboomers will report to Guy Moot, Co-Chairman and CEO of Warner Chappell Music, and Simon Robson, President of International, Warner Recorded Music.
Walboomers will also work closely with the team at Spinnin’ Records. Warner Music Group says it is finalizing plans to move all three teams to its new Creative He hub in Amsterdam.
Walboomers founded Walboomers Music with his brothers in 1996, starting as a music distributor for hip-hop, Latin, reggae and world music before becoming an independent label and music publisher, expanding into artist management.
In 2010, he moved to Sony Music Publishing and was appointed Managing Director of Benelux.
He and his team include Eurovision 2019 winner Duncan Lawrence, LA-based Grammy-winning producer Tias “Kizzo” Persson, Latin Grammy-winning DJ Chucky, Edison-winning artists Kovacs and S10 from Holland. We worked with producer Serrano “SRNO” Gadam and others.
Walboomers also became a board member of NMUV, the Dutch music publishers association, in 2010 and was its president from 2014 to 2018.
In 2014 he became a board member of the BMPA, the Belgian Music Publishers Association. In addition, since 2011 he has been secretary to the supervisory board of the Dutch music collecting association Buma/Stemra.
Walboomers also sits on the Donemus Foundation Advisory Board. The Donemus Foundation supports Dutch classical composers, German-based global streaming provider CLIQ Digital, and LA-based business management platform Specta Software.
