Actions taken by the Economic Development Commission at its monthly meeting
Sioux Falls, South Dakota – The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) Economic Development Committee approved multiple funding applications at its meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
The following Local Infrastructure Improvement Program (LIPP) actions have been taken:
- The City of Briton was awarded a grant of $65,368.75 to be used for water and wastewater infrastructure.
The following Reinvestment Payments Program (RPP) actions have been taken:
- Mitchell’s Bluestem Family Farms, LLC has been approved for $517,517 to be used to expand its swine facility.
- Driftwood Dairy of Baltic has been approved for use in dairy expansion for $256,136.
- DeSmet’s Kingston LLC has been approved to spend $1,213,758 on a new pig farm.
