Warner Music Mexico and ADA Latin have signed duo Efecto Elegante. This is he one of the most successful new acts in the burgeoning genre Musica Mexicana, formerly known as Regional Mexican Music.
This exclusive deal is part of Warner Music’s commitment to deepen its investment in Musica Mexicana, which is hugely popular in both Mexico and the United States.
Effect Elegante are brothers Carlos Uriel Pérez Alvarado and Axel Ulises from Mazatlan who formed a band about four years ago in an attempt to turn their hobby into a profession.
Their passion for music was ignited by chance when their mother gave them a guitar to share, with which they began making covers of their favorite artists such as Los Tucanes de Tijuana and Alfredo Olivas. Their pastime gradually became a reason for living and they developed their own creative identity.
Effect Elegante is known for its Sieleño Campilano style music with guitar and toro roche, a traditional Mexican instrument. They released many influential songs such as ‘Préstame tu Corazón’, ‘Yo Te Amaré’ and their current single ‘Quise Ver Como Empecé’.
The pair have found great success. They were in the Spotify Mexico Top 200 for three months, and the platform’s monthly user count surpassed his 2.1 million. His official Efecto Elegante channel on YouTube has over 58 million views and is already in the top 50 of the Billboard Hot Latin charts.
Tomas Rodriguez, Managing Director of Warner Music Mexico, said: We are confident that with their talent and our support, they will become even more popular in their home country and bring their music to fans in other regions. “
Delia Orjuela, General Manager of Música Mexicana added: Musica, one of the fastest growing genres in North America, shares their talent and passion for her Mexicana and is ready to work hard. “
“This agreement with Warner Music Mexico and ADA will allow Efecto Elegante to continue fulfilling their dreams by bringing music to millions of people.”
