Improving its ‘Pets on Akasa’ policy to offer more convenience and flexibility to pet owners planning to fly with their furry babies, Akasa Air has increased the weight limit for pets travelling in passenger cabins, including their container, from 7 kg to 10 kg.
The change in the airline’s ‘Pets on Akasa’ transportation policy comes in response to accrued customer feedback. The airline has also extended the validity of travel certificates for pets from three days to 15 days, providing flexibility for those with early return plans. Passengers with pets travelling for longer than 15 days will still need a new certificate. Akasa Air also caters to larger pets. Animals exceeding 10 kg can travel comfortably in the cargo hold, with a weight limit of 32 kg.
